NEWS : Al Nagler in Singapore! - APRIL'S FOOL!

Post by Airconvent »

Hi all,
A Singastro member who is no longer lurking here informed me via phone that Al Nagler is here in Singapore on holiday but is taking the opportunity to discuss on a possible Pentax and Nagler link up.
Think of the possibilities! I was informed that he is scheduled to meet up with the Pentax rep at their agent Shriro's office in Singapore this afternoon at 6pm. Its a closed door affair as the space at Shriro near Leng Kee is pretty small but the member will bring me and 2 or 3 others in.
Do PM me if you're interested..
For your info, one of the slots already taken by one of the admin here...

YUP...caught quite a few of you because i realised many did not know the date today! I was banking on all those who want to believe this was possible and quite a few calls came..just shows the ship of April fools is full and loaded! In anycase, if you think for a second, why would Al link up with their competitor, meet on a Sunday at Shriro that does not even sell astro stuff here in Singapore? Or allow goodus like us to even participate in the discussions?

If Al Nagler and Pentax combined their knowledge in designing eyepieces, they will come out with the best eyepiece ever...

There are disadvantages also. They will lose the competitive edge to outdo each other with better products and prices will be higher now as they will not try to undercut each other.
Then there's the "plateau" effect. Can their combined efforts make a significantly better eyepiece then their best stuff now?
