AGASTRO observatory reported in The New Paper

Post by Gary »

Interesting info from the report:

Observatory designed by CPG Consultants

Telescope specifications:
- Weight = 25 kg
- Length = 1.1 m
- Diameter of tube = 33 cm
- Built = light weight aluminimum (!)
- Color = black (not sure if it refers to the outer appearance or internal tube or both)

Any guesses what scope is that? :P

if its 1.1m long i'd say it's not an SCT. unless that length includes the dew shield...

Well, considering the 1.1 m comes from the reporter, I think she/he is measuring the goto control platform all the way to the top opening of the scope, thus consituting to such a length.

Lol... I almost thought the aperture is 1.1m

But if its not a Cat, then it will have to have a very short f ratio: 1100/330 = f/3
Unless I'm missing something? :)
