I received two PM notification email from Singastro recently:
- Fri, Jul 15, 2011 at 5:25 PM
- Thu, Jul 14, 2011 at 5:45 PM
But on both occasions, I have checked my inbox but there were no new PMs. It was 93% full (now 80% after deleting a couple of existing PMs).
If you are trying to PM me on these 2 occasions, please try the following:
- Check if your Sent quota is reached
(i.e. 100%) and if the PM you are trying to send me is still stuck in your outbox. If yes, delete some PMs in your Sent box.
- Email me instead at gary[at]astro[dot]sg .
Thanks.
Anyone tried to PM me these 2 days?

I rec'd "Your account on SingAstro is blocked - We have detected multiple failed log in attempts (1) on your account. Therefore, to insure maximum security, we blocked your account on SingAstro for minutes." from Admin on July 10th, but I didn't log in at that time mentioned and when I login after the e-mail, it was not block.
Someone is playing a fool (hacking?) with the site?

Maybe someone or some program is trying to guess your password and tried to login. After a certain number of wrong password guesses, the forum software locks up your account. After this lock up period has expired, you can and managed to login again.Clifford60 wrote:I rec'd "Your account on SingAstro is blocked - We have detected multiple failed log in attempts (1) on your account. Hi Gary
I did get this previously but not often. Not sure the reason but if there are no messages, just ignore it. So far in al these years i received the "lock out" message twice but both times I am able to log in, so I guess these are just the quirkiness of the system.
Regards

Perhaps the forum needs an upgrade.
