Hi all,
I'm putting up this 6 inch f/13.4 classical cassegrain on sale again after the previous buyer returned it. Reason because his mirror diagonal can't reach focus. I've tested it with a vixen prism diagonal and there's plenty of in-travel.
Made in Tokyo but no idea what brand. Comes with an old type written manual and vixen dovetail. The mirror has some cleaning marks but no fungus. Condition of the scope remains very good considering it's age. Probably over 20 years.

It's a heavy scope ard 8kg so a good mount is essential. Viewing at Choa Chu Kang.
Price: $270

More info on this unique scope...
Originally bought from a German vendor here (please refer to original post: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3302) for about SGD$1400, including shipping, 6 years ago. Very good for planetary views. Excellent on moon.
Here are the specs as far as I know:
Brandless (probably DIY, Japan-made Model R-6) 6" Classical Cassegrain, Primary Mirror 152mm, Focal Length 2040mm @ f/13.4, 1.25" Rack-and-Pinion Focuser, Light Gathering Power 460x, Resolving Power (Rayleigh Resolution) 0.8 arcsec, Limiting Stellar Magnitude 12.7, Maximum Useable Magnification 360x, Tube Weight 8.3kg, with custom-machined M42 screw-mount camera adaptor.
For those who may be interested, the big telescope at Singapore Science Centre is also a classical cassegrain... viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4538
