Selling my Sky-Watcher 6-inch Newtonian OTA + tube rings for SOLD.
Contents of Sale:
- Comes with a pair of tube rings. Camera adapter on top of one of the ring. (No dovetail adapter)
- Front cap with stop down hole. Snug fit - not too loose, not too tight.
- Back plate protecting/covering mirror cell unit.
- Base for attaching finder. (No finder)
- 1.25 inch focuser. Single speed. Does not support 2-inch accessories. You may upgrade the focuser unit in the future.
Condition of Equipment
- Took out primary mirror for cleaning. No fungus, no scratch, no streaks.
- Put back primary mirror and did collimation. (Will explain the collimation process to newcomers who are worried about the "hassle" of newtonian collimation)
- Some minor paint chips and scratches on the body.
- Tube rings also in good condition - e.g. felt lining inside still looks new.
Will reduce my price slightly if buyer is newcomer looking for first telescope.
Interested potential buyers please contact me via PM or email --> gary [at] astro.sg.

6" Newt is a very capable and lightweight scope even if its mainly intended to be hand carried to the downstairs void deck/open space.
Couple with a light but stable mount like a Vixen Portamount and you have a winner

@cloud_cover - Thanks for the bump.
On a PORTA mount, this telescope can point straight up at zenith without knocking the mount base.
