Celestron #52268 C90 maksutov

I made a DIY nylon flock roll to insert into the 16mm baffle tube for improving contrast.
The effect is very noticeable in daytime, maybe a little for the Moon, planets probably not. Solved the flare loop problem with bright star and planet outside eyepiece FOV.
It is very safe against slipping into the tube , can be removed by hand , use a stick to guide it back in.

OTA weight 1.7kg.
Solid all metal construction.
Vixen dovetail is 75mm long with 3 circle pits for non-slip.
2 very small paint chip at the front metal circle where the dust cover sits. I covered it with black marker pen.

I used this scope to view the 5 brighter planets at 100x magnification.

Bump for you. 90mm MCT is a good design to consider if portability, collimation-free and tight budget ranks highly in one's priority list.

Thanks for the link to the review. Very interesting to read Ed Ting's conclusions of C90 vs the mighty Questar.

Thanks Gary for the thumbs up.

This scope is still looking for new owner.
If you need finderscope or eyepieces, no problem I can buy it for you but there is some waiting time.
