This one on ebay looks like a good deal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/QUESTAR-TELESCO ... SwAYtWLWd6

There are others on sale too.

Questars are ridiculously expensive for the aperture (their new manual scope cost US$8K! , so not so popular with general astronomers, hence much lesser pool to tap. You will have better luck at astromart.com

And those who have are not willing to sell... not at bargain prices anyway.

I posted on CN, Astromart and the Questar community. I got 0 feedback. I found 1 Q3.5 for sale, that need to be sent to Questar for refurbishing. Total const +1000 USD above the market price for a +25 year old scope.... [smilie=angel2.gif] [smilie=angel.gif]
I also found a Q50 for 6100 USD + shipping....

Have you tried his company? Brand new units!

Seems they do deliver to Singapore and accept credit cards too.

Sorry for diverging the main topic but just curious...: why a questar? for that amount of serious money, or even lesser, there are more than enough alternative visual scopes.

Why not?

If I can't get a used one, I'll order directly to Questar or Company Seven.
