hi all looking for a budgetish alt az mount( under 120ish). Just need the mount head as im frustrated of using eq mounts for casual observing and already have a tripod. Thanks!!

Hi , I may be wrong , but the existing tripod for your astromaster EQ mount may not be compatible with any AZ mount as your tripod plate area is recessed inwards. Not only that, the 2 types of mounts use different sized screws to connect the mount to tripod.
