These new OPS Oculars feature the tried, tested and proven design of the classic Abbe Orthoscopic *combined* with a proprietary 20 layer special band pass filter coating formulated by Sirius Optics and University Optics to enhance subtile planetary / lunar details. Optics and body manufactured in Japan. Hand assembled, coated and tested in the USA.



Format : 1.25"

Eye relief : ~ 80% of focal length

AFOV : ~ 45 degrees


Currently available in 9mm, 12.5mm and 18mm only.

Price : S$225.00 each.

I'd very much love to, but not anytime soon because I want to focus on clearing out all my other existing stock first.

But if anyone wants to be the first to try out this new eyepiece, just feel free to contact me anytime, I will definately give a discount off the regular selling price :D

Meanwhile, I'll try to gather some feedback from the US users.

No, they are different.

UO HD Orthoscopic
Available in 5,6,7,9,12.5 and 18mm @ S$160.00 each.
Features : phase-tuned full multi coatings.

UO OPS Oculars
Available in 9,12.5 and 18mm @ S$225.00 each.
Features : proprietary 20 layer special band pass filter coating formulated by Sirius Optics and University Optics to enhance subtile planetary / lunar details

Just wonder if a pair of UO OPS Oculars (the 12.5 mm one) are suitable for binoviewer. (Denkmeier)

Hi,

They should work just fine, just as how the Abbe Orthoscopics have, since these new OPS are afterall built on the Abbe Orthoscopic design.
