hi, i've got some images that i want to post on singastro to get some comments and feedback to improve it, but the pics file size is much larger than the maximum allowed. how do i make my image's file size small enough to post?
i tried putting it in photoshop and clicked "saving it for the web" which made the file small enough but when i tried to post it here i got a message which said that type was not allowed..
thanks

what file extension did you save under?
i think it would be safer if you save it under jpg or gif

these days, except for animation...very few people use gif.
you should "save as" jpg files. and normally there is a slider bar to indicate how small you want to shrink. set the file to around 40-50K should be ok.
