Is Marina South still a good place for observation? Went
there a few months back and noticed construction going
on. Was quite bright...
Living in Senkang area, anybody went to any Punggol area
for observation?

Hi toolkit,

Not sure about Marina South now; there is lots of construction going on for the new park and the IR. There is a lot of light pollution coming form the IR construction. It may be better to observe further up along east coast.

I just went to Ponggol end the other day. It was clear and managed to catch many stars. Can see Ubin and nice comfortable place to sit and lie.
Please see: http://www.singastro.org/web/mediawiki/ ... onggol_End

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the tip. Went there a few months ago and was
let down by the bright lights coming from the other side.
Also walked further right that night and noticed it was
darker but due to a almost full moon, thus not able to see much.
You got me interested in the site again. Will visit when
free.
