My long awaited galileoscope upgrade! TAKE 2

Post by mandaragit »

Hi guys, just wanted to share with you my Christmas present from Santa [smilie=admire.gif]

Just a warning though, these photos were taken with a crappy camera by a lousy photographer in a messy in-law's house :D i hope for my sake that my wife doesn't read this...

@orly: I owe you a couple of pictures of my Polaris mount, I promise as soon as I go back in the provinces I'll post some

The nice big box made a nice big hole in my wallet [smilie=beaten.gif]

ooops this one's from the stork, not Santa :D

gotta love the double packaging, specially if you're ordering halfway 'round the world

thanks kaomoo, i got this scope specifically for my upcoming trip this December on a dark sky in the southern part of the Philippines. I will be there for 5 days so hopefully I can get at least one cloudless night...

I'm still waiting for some accessories as well, a 2" diagonal and 2 eyepieces, one of them is an ES 82 N2 8.8mm, I've heard good reports about this line in cloudynights, apart from it being on sale [smilie=happy.gif] so if I like it I may buy some more and maybe give my impressions...

Ya kaomoo I think many ST80 or similar widefield refractor owners upgrade their scope eventually, many sooner than later...
