Another Newbie

Post by alanchua »

Hi all

This is Alan and I am another newbie interested in the area of astronomy and stargazing. My interest get further after I came across some popular layman books on the Universe and the BBC show by Brian Cox on Stargazing.

Looking forward to join some star walk session by the guys in this forum. Currently I have zero devices but is looking to get one. I stay in Sengkang and look forward to knowing more in this area.

See you folks.

Welcome to Singastro Alan...and yes, Brian Cox has a way of making astronomy interesting.
To bad you missed this group buy for what i call "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Its an excellent beginner's guide and I suppose you can still order it separately.
But if price is not an issue (lucky you!) buy it from Kinokuniya...instant gratification.. :)

I wander if you could share the Author of the book that you mention. Not too sure if I get the right one.

That's great Alan. You are already ahead of some newcomers who for whatever strange reasons do not like to incorporate reading good books into their telescope-buying research but rather getting confusing unstructured bits of info here and there and everywhere else! :)
