Hi all!! I'm new here! Im planning to get the meade etx 125 second hand for $350. Is it a good deal? Included is the ota, the mount, the auto star controller, the eyepiece. Is it reccomeneded for beginners and for use in Singapore?

If its in good working condition, its a very good deal. I used own one and had nice views of Uranus and Neptune.
The aperture would be slightly limited under Singapore skies though, but the goto works great. You need to learn to identify some bright stars for the alignment, though. :)

It is the meade etx 125 premium edition! May I know how to go about checking if the optics are fine and what checks are to be made and how. Thanks for the advices! :)
