Canon 12x36 IS for astronomy

Post by anerjee »

Newbie here, so please bear with me.

I'm an avid photographer and appreciate canon products. Hence I'm willing to pay a premium to get the image stabilized 12x36 binocs. It helps that I can source them from Japan through a friend.

I'd like to know if there are any known issues. I live near the Ecp with lots of light pollution. Does that make this binocular less suitable?

any other suggestions for this price range? My main use would be mainly stargazing, and maybe occasional birding.
