New guy on the block

Post by pus88 »

Hi everybody,

I'm new to this wonderful world up there, been interested in it for quite awhile but never gave it much time. My first telescope was a cheap low end thats only good for the moon telescope that i bought in australia.

Anyway hope that I can learn more stuff here and by the way, I work in a school and am hoping to start an astronomy club, would appreciate if I could get help and ideas on what I should get to start up and who can I seek help from.

Hi Cheryl...

I live in Jurong East too... Any good places for viewing of the night sky on our side, from your past experiences?

Welcome to SingAstro... ;)

There is the Science Centre Observatory, which is quite bright if the night golfing lights are on. Next you can consider the open spaces next to Chinese Garden MRT and Lakeside MRT, or the park area around Chinese Garden/Japanese Garden. I now live near Chinese Garden/Japanese Garden.
