6 to 7 inches,Lightweight , compact and lastly last target for lightning.

If you're taking lightning, then aperture is not the main consideration because you are not trying to snap dim objects. A normal wide angle refractor would have been better suited for this. [smilie=cute.gif]

Am not quite so sure what he means by "last target for lightning." Probably that it isn't too high off the ground to get hit!
