Welcome Kelvgoh!
Do read up the FAQ we uploaded into Singastro. There is one article on buying telescopes (albeit a slightly bias one).
The Backyard Astronomers Guide is also a good reference.

But best is to join in one of the obs to check out the scopes for yourself or driop by to scope wonderland at the Science Centre Astroscientific Shop.
