Hmm... I had been using a lensatic compass for my EQ mount initial polar alignment ... I found them very usable in the dark... just need a red touchlight to help you read the scale.

I must have had a bad sample. Lens fell apart after 2 uses in daylight :)

those silva compasses look good, and are aluminum and not plastic. where can i get one of those?

Hazy conditions ahead. Big bummer.

My microfocuser drop in replacement for my ST80 came in from scopestuff. Test fitter with Orion imaging flip mirror and Celestron NexGuide. Everything hooks up nice and neat!
