Home Planetarium

This one looks exactly like the recently discussed Gakken planetarium but its significantly cheaper on Groupon:

I have no experience with this product and how good or bad it is but from the pic and description, it does look strikingly similar.
Still, just in case anyone is interested :)

Similar indeed base on some more close up photos from this website:

But base on the photos alone, the Milky Way seems to be missing. Looks like an imitation of the original Gakken Home Planetarium. Quite happy with the quality and snug fit of the components while fixing my Gakken. :)

This seems to be similar to the earlier version of the Gakken Mook planetarium (see viewtopic.php?f=24&t=12730&hilit=gakken&start=10). One major con of this version IMO is that the constellation lines are drawn in.

p/s:
I shifted this thread from the Coffee Corner to Equipment discussion.

Ok from the pics posted it looks just like the older edition of the Gakken planetarium. Check this out for a similar deal:

The one that Kino sells is the 'improved' version. How 'improved' I have no idea for the new version is certainly good :-)
