Celestron Truss Dob - Astronomers Without Borders Edition

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Interesting scope for a good cause.

ps Hope the video will load properly for you. Space.com's video system is terrible. It does not load fast and does not buffer either!

I was considering this Onesky 360/skywatcher Heritage 130 Dob or a C5..
Any input on which is better as a grab and go, always in the boot telescope?
Was thinking the Dob is better as it is an all-in-one package without the need of a mount and tripod.
But how about optics for just visual use?

WEll...the heritage dob is a widefield scope good for large star clusters, Orion neb, Lagoon neb, E.Carina etc. whereas the 5"SCT has higher focal length for smaller DSOs and planetary viewing. You can still fit in the Orion Nebula with a low enough power 2in eyepiece.

My 2 cents.
