The QHY is USD $150

The starfish is USD $995 !!

So how? The differences between the 2 is TEC and Software. So for those who wants to get into deep sky imaging, you need the autoguider. I may get the QHY for testing.

Hi Meng Lee,

I've been waiting for QHY5 for several months already. They are still in developing/testing stage and according to them CMOS chip sets are out of stock for the time being.

I'm dying to have that QHY5 for Planetary Imaging.

:)

Hi, boothee,

The guy just emailed me that thay got stock. And I saw your thread in QHY website and he wrote that they will receive stock. Hope there really is stock.

Otherwise you can consider this:

if you are doing just planetary.

Starfish now comes with a guider version, $300 cheaper.

Imagine looking for guide stars with a low noise 1.3MP sensor!

By the way, I will be letting go of QHY5 very soon. It is exactly the same sensor but 4 times cheaper.

People interested in autoguiding and planetary imaging can PM me about QHY5, or even to reserve it. Thanks.

hehe, they all come from Mr Qiu.

This website has all the drivers and software. And even vendor IDs are all included!

By the way my QHY5 has been reprogramed to M42Optics vendor.
