Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!
I just read that some ccd camera comes with Anti-Blooming features. Is Anti-Blooming a criteria when choosing CCd camera? Can software actually correct Blooming? or by just taking shorter exposures to avoid it?
if u rotate ur camera btw exposures, u can clean up blooming with some median computation when stacking. most sony ccd u see out there are anti blooming, so not much to worry about.
slight correction, it should be non-antiblooming ccd. a very good read would be ron wodaski's book, explains very well the diff btw anti-blooming and non antiblooming ccds. however do note that most of us are using anti blooming chips, since they are more available.
if you are planning to shoot really faint stuff like galactic clusters, etc, get the blooming one. otherwise anti-bloom CCDs are fine. I am using one. But blooming artifacts are easy to remove through software, so you should let this influence your choice in picking one.
