In conjunction with Earth hour, weather permitting we will be hosting an Earth hour sidewalk Astronomy session at Bishan Park

Date: 23/3/2013
Time: From 7.30PM onwards
Venue: Bishan Park's McDonald's (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10766&)

Feel free to join us and unite in pointing our telescopes at the night sky.
All are welcome to join in the fun with or without telescope.

Thanks to Davegn for organising the event and all those came with or without telescopes! Earlier in that evening, saw the satellite flyby through Orion's belt through the C6 and ST80. Davegn managed to track it for a few good seconds manually in his AZ mount. :)

Crowd had fun observing Jupiter, Moon, Saturn and Star clusters. Special guest star of the evening was a C8 on a wooden surveyor tripod. Thanks to the owner for supporting the event and our previous sidewalks there too.
