One of the highlight for last Saturday's library talk was meeting a young man who told me he was interested in doing sidewalk astronomy!
He had a successful first sidewalk session at Choa Chu Kang on Friday (3 Jan) which was a very clear night! Too bad I was too busy answering questions and packing my laptop after the talk and forgot to ask for his contacts. Fortunately, I remembered he mentioned he is a lurker here. So will the lurker please kindly identify yourself or send me a pm? Would love to do sidewalk with you at CCK someday!
IIRC, there are a few forum members here staying near CCK. Perhaps a regular sidewalk group can be formed there. Anyone any ideas where are the good sidewalk locations at CCK?

CCKer here, but I'm not that guy.
There is a newly opened extension of the CCK park 5 minute walk North-East of the MRT.
Skydome seem to be pretty wide and lamps are shaded downwards but I have not check it out in action during the night.

Went there at 8-9pm to have a look.
Quite ok place no mosquito bite , North East South all can see 10 degree altitude and above , west is 30 degree and above due to condo blocking.
The darker spots less affected by lamps are on grass area. Probably impossible to have dark adaptation in this park.
All images brightened up significantly with http://www.picmonkey.com
petrol station and toilet
middle of the park
short distance to CCK MRT
children's playground .... behind the forest on the East is SAF signals school
