Stargazing at Jurong SAFRA on 28 Mar 15 (Earth Hour Event)

Calling interested astronomers. As part of its Earth Hour celebration, Jurong SAFRA is inviting astronomers to bring their gear for a stargazing session for members of public.

The time/location:

Location: Jurong SAFRA, Level 3 @ backyard of function room. Please refer to the photos below for more info.
Date/Time: 28 Mar 15, 7:30 to 10:30 PM

Please drop me a mail (yltansgatgmaildotcom) if you are interested to participate in the Earth Hour event with your astro gear. Please let me know the equipment you are bringing and your car number if you are driving. Appreciate it if you could let me know by 19 Mar 15.

How to get to the location: Take the lift beside the security counter on level one and proceed to Level 3.

The deployment ground is uneven. You would need to bring pieces of plywood for your tripod:


Basically the viewing sector is from East -> South -> West. The elevation coverage is unobstructed from Horizon to Zenith. Pano view of the viewing sector (facing South).
