There are quite a few places locally. I'll personally be at the NUS event, which is open to the public. More details here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13902

Aside from the eclipse, there will also be talks the day before, a messier marathon the night before, as well as an astrophotography exhibition.

OK from what I can gather, there are at least 3 places having group Solar Eclipse Events.
1) NUS by NUS Astro (as mentioned in another post and here by Ivan)
2) Labrador Park by Tasos
3) Science Centre

will be in NUS to support too. almost everyone will go there. besides the observing of the eclipse, there are lots of other fringe events like talks, exhibition, etc.

I will probably catch it at the park outside my home with my scope. I think is best time to capture some flares with my filter.

Is anyone observing from the north-east area?

I'm hoping to set my scope somewhere near Punggol Jetty Park, if I manage to take time off work, that is!
