Some pics of the Venue. Not very good for DSOs as the place is quite well lit due to the path street lights and 24hr bicycle shop nearby but ideal for Sidewalk ASTRONOMY due to car park vicinity and large field.

We forgot to take a group photo and most have left when we packed up at 2am. Only after the Teleport has been kept did I remember! So here is the group photo with the Teleport stowed away. See how compact it is! Thanks to the long lost Cat for helping us take this photo!

I miss the place where stars shine bright, to gaze upwards in awe of the sight

Sure Chee Yiun. Gavin posted the detailed Obs report while I posted the general event report...haha..wucheeyiun wrote:Hi Richard..thanks for the nice report!
Pity you left early. If we had known the rain would only last 15-30 min, I think everyone would have stayed back. In fact, we should have suspected it because these days, presumably due to Global warming effect, rain in Singapore seem to be very shortlived. I recall back in the old days when it can rain for 24 hrs continuous and it felt cold after that! You don't see that anymore.

So you can get to see through the same Teleport anytime you want especially if its at your place...lol.. just a simple PM will make it all come true!

Great to see everyone again. And I did more planetary obs in one night than in the last 5 years! Lol.
The Nikon needs more testing, if anything the eye placement was easier than the Pentax 5mm.

Well Wee Ern, I heard a certain 10" Teleport from that night is rumoured to be on sale. PM the owner for his offer.Bergkamp_ wrote:Thanks for the photo, i am really amazed by the view from the big cannons. Now i am looking for big visual scope like Portaball or Teleport =)
