Cemetaries are pretty good observation sites except after midnight you may see other types of faint fuzzy objects hovering about you....

The reason why the sky are so dark because too far away from airport and the land is too big. It's not in the Singapore map yet. I used to have a yacht there and will offen stay for overnight fishing most of the time i can see stars.

Been there before at the Changi reclaimed land. Dark side but be careful of hostile dogs (they attacked the van I was in!!) and the dusty environment.

Hows the mosquito situation? I find mosquitos in dark site areas around Singapore the most bothersome. Maybe we should start a thread of 'Best ways astronomers ward off mosquitos'. I use a citronella bucket from 'Off' but it doesn't work very well. Any other suggestions?

In west area it's around Temple hill, as for East side there isn't any trees so i don't think you can see much mosquitos there also no clean water for them unless they breed in the sea.
