What are the stars which are availiable in the sky?

Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.

there's one bright star i see every morning (or at least some mornings), at around 6.00am.
i was looking south and its around 60-80 degrees from the south horizon.
can anyone identify it?

Hm, it could be Sirius, the brightest star. Could you see the constellation of Orion above it ? If you do, then it's confirmed.

If ya really want to learn constellations go get a star chart or smt. For me every clear sky is an opp. to see new stuff.

Well as seasoned astronomers do I think most of the guys here step out of their house, and the first thing they do is to look at the weather? :?:
