Weather look promising, so plan to have a session tonight. Will bring out my EQ mount to have some "exercise" and may be took some Astrophoto after midnight if weather is good.

Hi WX,

Good to hear that you are back into the active observing mode again. I do hope that the field is dry due to the fact that we are having torrential rains for the past few days. Might drop by to take a look.

The observation on friday night was great. No doubt it is hot and humid and was 50% cloudy, managed to see a few DSO like M31, M34, M45, M42, double clusters amd Hyades and perhaps even M103 in cassopeia. If not for the moon and the cloud, it should have been times better.

Anyway, wx and rcj, thanks for advising me on how to use the photo tripod 'properly' and 'solved' my perplexing issue on how to use a ball mount effectively. But I have to admit that it is not a good long term solution as the CG is severly shifted out of the center of the head.

Weather look ok, so plan to have a session tonight. Near full moon night, so main target will be Jupiter and hopefully can see some other objects.
