Big thanks to all who came last night for the sidewalk! Especially to the telescope volunteers and helpers. We had a great time observing Saturn, star clusters and double stars. The crowd had a good time viewing them and also seeing some wide-field DSLR astrophotography demonstrations! Saturn at 500x through the dob was awesome!

Got another lucky shot of Saturn with a Samsung Galaxy Note! Will share it at the astrophotography forum soon. :)

Special thanks to Dave for conducting an impromptu Solar sidewalk session near AMK Hub earlier in the morning. Watching the big proms changing shape over time is amazing!

After the hail storm, clear enough night to observe Saturn, Moon and Arcturus. Had fun explaining more astro stuff in detail with smaller weekday crowds. The kids just couldn't get enough of Saturn and kept looking at it again and again and again. :)

Later in the evening, Moon rose higher and was really clear. This is my phone pic of it through a 6" newt:

Thanks to all who came with or without telescopes. Clearest night since June! #sghaze seems like a distant memory. :)

Great time catching up with new and old friends under the stars! Smaller crowds because of Sunday evening but more interaction. Each of them enjoyed seeing more stuff longer at various magnifications. Saturn was amazing as usual and a great crowd pleaser. Easy-to-find bright star clusters looks good too. Had fun testing a coma corrector and a laser collimator.
