Yup, many members of the public were quite thrilled to peek at Saturn, the Moon, etc. 'Business' was really brisk.

Was nice meeting so many forum members last night, incl Gary (Meade 8' SCT with binoviewer on Porta mount, a super set-up), James Ling (Mewlon 250), Clifford60, KKK26 (APM 4' apo), RLow and wife, and ZongYao. Hope I've not omitted anyone!

Am sure there will soon be new members signing up from last night's crowd, incl one who I have pre-named 'Koala'.

And this time, many questions being asked , what is so special about the moon tonight, that we are here setting up the telescope........

Looks like should do the big one during this coming lunar month.......

I got the same question too, just told them that the next day is a off day, nothing special.

you miss 'cloudcover' Kevin!

Before I come, I called to check, and I was told no need to bring 15" dob as there were very few people then... so unfortunately some of you missed it.

Nah, but you brought a very nice 80/300 achro! :) *grin*
Stargazer, if you have time and patience, I suggest getting an A-Mart account and trolling the classifieds as well as cloudynights classifieds :)
