M31 and M27 from Singapore

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

M31 and M27 from Singapore

Post by ivan »

Saturday night/sunday morning was a really productive imaging session for me. Here are two more objects that I've captured from Changi last weekend:

M31, the Great Andromeda Galaxy, with its satellites M110 and M32. Totalled 50 Minutes of exposure at 800mm FL. Special thanks to George (Looyaa) for helping me to pull out more detail in the spiral arms.

Image

M27, the Dumbbell Nebula. 20 Minutes of exposure in total.

Ivan, Beautiful Images!
Were you able to capture the whole of M31? Yours is cropped. :)

Gorgeous and well done! Same comment for your M8, M20, M21 in the other 2 threads. [smilie=good-job.gif]
