The Lagoon - A different look [APOD]

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

The Lagoon - A different look [APOD]

Post by rcj »

Hi!

Got a pleasant surprise recently when my recent lagoon image from last month's mersing trip was chosen for APOD. Will be out this Wednesday (24th September). This was unexpected especially for a very commonly imaged and iconic deep-sky object, with a large pool of submissions. Nevertheless, the transparency that night was unusually clear and as Gavin has mentioned (a 9.5 rating night!).
