Here's my humble contribution Its been a long time since I shot anything due to time constraints but on a recent holiday at a farmstay in Australia, I managed to sneak in a few shots with an unmodified DSLR and a 70mm lens at f3.2. Subs of 1-2 mins each and total integration time of about 1 hr. Special thanks to Orly who lent me his Star Adventurer portable equatorial mount head and to cknjj who lent me the lightweight yet very sturdy Gitzo CF tripod to hold it up!
Here's a widefield of the Orion Constellation, containing the usual famous objects such as M42, Running Man, Flame, Horsehead.
Its a bit grainy cos' I didn't really have lots of exposure time, being on a family holiday, but better than nothing
And here's a closer up of what I think is the prettiest area of the whole pic. Since this was done at 70mm focal length, the resolution is not so good so forgive the blurriness!
