Hi all,
It is with much anticipation that I present this deep field image of the NGC5044 galactic group in Virgo, a lesser imaged galactic FOV, but yet hosts one of the brightest X-ray group in our sky with NGC5044 is embedded within. However, this diffuse gaseous halo is not visible in this LRGB composite but one can view the X-ray version from ESA's website in their XMM-Newton EPIC X-ray image for NGC5044 group of galaxies. Both the XMM-Newton image rendition and this visual-based FOV roughly displays similar FOV extent (captured by the Vixen VMC260L). They are numerous galaxies in this FOV including the interesting NGC5035 and "Saturn-like" NGC5037, et al. There are many X-ray studies of this "galactic sloshing group" in public literature.
