Hi KK,

Yes, I first slew the scope to Syrma, sync the scope to it. From there I slew the scope to SAO 139856. Catalina is on its left.

The best time to catch Catalina is about 5 am.

By the way, the "worms" in the picture are hot pixels. Will try to do darks to get rid of them.

Hi Mr Chia,

After the search for it, I only managed to do about 10 mins of imaging before it got too bright for meaningful data. I didn't manage to do visual observation. I will try visual and report on this discussion group :)

Stay tune

Here is one way you can look for Catalina on 10 Dec, 5 am.

Slew scope and use the hand controller to center on Syrma (where the 2 red lines meet). Sync/align the mount to Syrma.

Next slew to SAO 139853 (with the red concentric circles). Catalina (with the tail) is on the right and slightly down.

Good luck!!

12Dec 15 Caught Catalina again this morning on ASI224 camera. This time I used darks to remove the hot pixels. Tried looking at it visually but couldn't see it.
