Hi guys,

Happy new year all! May the new year bring more clear skies and more tech goodies. heh

Anyway, just wanted to share what can be achieved with really dark skies and current camera technology.

These pictures were taken in Big bend national park in the USA. It's about bortle scale class 2 skies here.

d800 30 secs with high iso setting through cpc1100 at prime focus.

Yup sky conditions were good. so much so that the bright stars such as Betelgeuse is glaring and distracting in the scope. And venus is glaring when you look at it with naked eye
