Another panorama -- before midnight and the position of MWay core was low -- so more affected by sky glow. But I like the low position giving a nice image of the interesting foreground.

MW region from Cassiopeia to Altair. Can you spot the Andromeda galaxy?

One more picture from my mirrorless camera.

Interesting objects in a 20mm focal length view.

Will move on to process other images from ASI2600MC Pro.

Processed most of the images out of ASI2600MC Pro+ASIPro. Turned out the productivity is actually much lower than my landscape astrophotography.

The Antares-MW core region has always been on my bucket list -- when I come to a new dark site, I always want to test shoot this region.

Image

I never got a good shot of the major double cluster M6 and M7.

Image

And then the Cygnus region. As expected much better than my effort last year in Singapore. But still lacking somehow (probably becoz I am spoilt with those magnificent astro images of the region on the internet.)

New Toy, New Fun.

Acquired a 2nd (or rather, 3rd) hand astro-mod Sony NEX5R. It will become my indispensable backup to both my mirrorless full frame and astro cams during overseas dark-sky trips.

A quick test shot. This is a highly cropped image showing 100% pixel scale. Acceptable to me (both lens and cam). The lens would suffer from terrible CA but a step-down ring to 58mm (or 62mm also can?) easily saves it.

Another image from late May's trip to Tg Leman.

Processing the images really help me understand the true features of the Milky Way. And in this case, it uncovered new details not visible in my last attempt at Desaru. (8x13s beats the 6x30s thanks to the darker sky).

Thanks.

I am more towards capturing some non-deep-sky subjects. This morning accomplished a small mission: capturing the return of the Pleiades and Mercury to the morning twilight sky.

And another shot bagged in another three planets.

So all is set for the best all-planets-moon alignment 1 to 2 weeks later.
