thanks for the comments folks! This was done late last night till early morning...yawns.
The image above consisted of subexposures totalling a little over 1.5 hours in luminance. Yes, it is definitely an interesting galaxy away from the usual nebulae, but it is hard to find galaxies (bright enough) to image in the south from where i am. NGC253 is one prime candidate. Would be enthusaistic about getting colour data sets soon!
