Hi,
"Live View" will be a good feature when doing focusing... :D

Have a nice day.

the 40D looks like it has all the critical new features present in the more expensive 1DSMarkIII, what with the Digic III processor, bigger chip and live view. Very soon, perhaps a certain one will go back to the DSLR...

1Ds has dual Digic processor, probably the second processor is exclusively for the "Live View " feature. The list price for 1Ds in Singapore Canon Website is ~15,000S$.

here is some information on the Live View feature documented from 20Da and 1DIII, which will give an indication of what to expect in the 40D. It will be helpful for imagers in astrophotography.

If only there is an focus indicator light on the screen when we attach the cameras on telescopes!

Alright, time to change camera!

One raw frame will eat up 25 mb, more than the capacity of my first hard disk bought way back in 1988 for 500 $ or so foa 20 mb size.

Definitely more than anything out right now. But with a 16gb card, you will still get 600+ pictures. And you also have the SD card, so you can put a 4gb in that to get an additional 160 or so while the 16gb is downloading. Or get 2 8gb cards and swap them.

Hmm.. maybe time to sell my MKII!!
