Took some pics yesterday night to take advantage of the good weather
D700, 50mm f1.8 AF-D, mounted on cheapie camera tripod, no tracking, naturally.
Also first try with DSS today! Please advise on how to improve
Scorpio with M7 and Butterfly cluster
50-ish subs at 5s exposure, ISO 3200 f/8

DSS is not designed to bring out nebulosity nor post-process images. Thus, the random dots.
I stacked 20 20 sec shots, ISO 640 (you don't wanna take in the light pollution).
