My little window...

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

After many moons of my tracker gathering dust, itchy finger again...

It's amazing... stop doing this for a while and almost have to re-learn everything all over again!

Anyway, just took a few shots for fun and this was the result.

Lights: 8
Dark: 5
Bias: 5
10-sec exposure, iso 800, f4.0

Image

Can just make out NGC 2451 on the right with cPup (orange star) in the mix.
Nowhere near good since I gotta master my barndoor tracker again..... just itchy fingers :P

Top part is my utility room window (forgot to close it.....)

Nice attempt and shot! Keep it up! NGC2451 was naked eye fuzzy object during my last Malaysia trip. So looking forward to seeing it again through a scope. :)

Thanks Gary!

Now I'm kindda inspired to hunt down that elusive motor to drive the barndoor to get more accurate shots! I keep putting it off though....

Wahahahahaha!!! Who says DSLRs are only good for wide-field astronomy without scopes?!
