My little window...

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Ok now I know my problem....

Never try to stack landscape and portrait frames together..... that creates the cut-off line.... silly me...

Well, coupla nights of NGC 6231 all stacked together, and this is what I get! I have to say, I'm pretty happy with this result though I should consider getting a field flattener....

39 frames of 25-sec, or about 16 mins.

Good effort Sivakis! If you bring down the levels, the contrast would be better... :)

Different day, same Moon, different lens.

Canon EOS 70D, 55-250 IS II, 1/80, f/7.1, ISO100
(this 55-250IS II is the newer version of the original and is much sharper)

Lol, I only just found out today that my Celestron 8-24 Zoom actually has a T2-thread hiding beneath the rubber eye relief.... which means I have what I need for afocal AP!

As luck would have it, cloudy skies (hah! What else is new?) but this is going to be fun!
