Wanna make a scope? Or better still, grind a mirror yourself. Or, you have some good tips in making a really useful accessory? This is the place to show what your hands can do...
Did the lst dobs mount for my C8N and due to serious hands and backside quite itchy so not long later decided to tear down the whole dobs and re-design re-work a new concept dobsonian scope, hope it can out perform the initial set functionality and asthetically.
Basically did my lst trial on the dobs and for the balacing parts it balance very well, but for the smoothness there might be somewhere which need to be improve further. I cannot comment it is not smooth but just that because maybe due to the weight and CG point, user need to give some light strength to move the scope. For manual tracking part it might be little affected but overall i still find it is workable for me.

It is how many people, less fortunate than you, got to look through it."

Interesting...
A while back I mounted a second finder scope to my C11 but I couldnt quite
get the balance right and guiding was a pain. It was as if I needed to rotated the tube - like you can with newts and tube rings.
How do you find the balance in all directions with this setup?
