Flocking a little 32mm plossl

Post by Hardwarezone »

Reflective surfaces causes stray light to bounce to the eyepiece glass and reduce visible contrast.
This mod can help low budget eyepieces recover from some of it's flaws.

Removal of the chrome barrel reveals a 2cm width of smooth metal surface inbetween

Cutting the flock into 3 strips would be easier to work with.
When I unroll a whole 9cm strip in a diagonal barrel previously, part of it clump together.

completed surface feels fuzzy and absorbs light

Thanks for sharing! Will be interesting to do side-by-side comparison and observe the difference if any.
