Repainting telescope tube

Wanna make a scope? Or better still, grind a mirror yourself. Or, you have some good tips in making a really useful accessory? This is the place to show what your hands can do...

Repainting telescope tube

Post by Great Red Spot »

Hi all, any idea where to get a telescope tube repainted (sandblast then powder coat) locally? Thanks.

I had my old Orion 100ED powder-coated white at

David "The Case Modder's Friend" at 01-464 Block 11 Defu Lane 10.

Here's my old post on the matter -

It literally cost $15. And two weeks. I did strip the paint myself and only gave them the bare metal tube and dew shield.

Thanks, Orly. I called but was told they don't do this. Will try another shop.

Dave from AFTTech did my telescope tube. They do have the equipment to grind or sandblast off your old paint and they do powdercoating as well.

Their office is somewhere in Ubi / Paya Lebar area.

He's a friend of CK.
