I am not sure... we had the use of Wira's van when transporting the scope.
We do it in the dark...
Portaball 12.5"
Takahashi Mewlon 210
William Optics 110ED
...and all night long!

Arief, if you want to bring that scope to Mersing, you can check the dimensions and consider to place it in the minibus where Elton and his Teleport sat.

tried to call him this evening but unable to get through...
he's pretty busy these days, so not too sure when he will rejoin singastro as an active member...back when he had his mpv, he was always goiing around singapore but since he sold his car, his movement has been limited as the LX200 with box will not fit into most sedans...

just spoke to wira just now..
seems he is quite busy but is ready to join in any obs as long as he is not tied up with any work project..
his feedback is the 16.1" still needs a little work before it can be used..
maybe a diy master like arief can do wonders with it?

"Use the force, Arief, use the Force!"

The link arief gave looks promising, provided it is meant for a mirror of the same F-ratio. I believe that the original design had problems of balance. Maybe Arief and I could take a look and see how we can salvage the project by changing the materials used e.g. aluminium instead of steel tube etc.

However, I will be away for 2 weeks from next week for an overseas conference. Maybe we take a look at it when i return, OK arief?
