Metal/PVC tube to attach to Polar axis

Wanna make a scope? Or better still, grind a mirror yourself. Or, you have some good tips in making a really useful accessory? This is the place to show what your hands can do...

Metal/PVC tube to attach to Polar axis

Post by Debash »

H:

I'm looking for a machining shop or hardware store in Singapore where if I give the diameter and threading specs of the polar axis shaft of my GP mount, they can make/provide a tube of at least 8 to 10 inches long. A PVC tube will also be ok.

I plan to use that to screw on to the polar axis shaft (instead of buying a polar scope) and grab on to the RA encoder shaft.

If you know of any such shop....would appreciate it if you can let me know.

Thanks much.
